SODA - IN THE SVN (2010)
Sunday, June 20, 2010 does anybody remember the first NIRVANA release from 1989 ?
i'm talking 'bout BLEACH....
this thing hit's me like at hammer and is still one of my favourite albums.
i didn't beleive to find something like this again...
but this is the moment when i'm glad to be totally wrong!!!
there is a release that catches the spirit of BLEACH and carries it to this new century:
i'm talkin' 'bout ''IN THE SUN'', the first cd-release of SODA, a young two-piece, based in dresden, germany.

Nina Tischer (Drums) and Martin Paul Mueller (Guitar, Voice) are celebrating a raw, fresh vintage-touched sound that will make your filthy little hearts leap, ladies and gentlemen...
without frills, straight into your face and deep into your heart.
''just'' drums and guitars and voice - and this is all you need (i, as playing bass-guitar since aeons, do not miss anything)
no compromises, no chumming up, no mercy - 9 tiny highlights on one cd, each one a little monument in itself.
i do not want to mark any of the tracks as ''the best'' or ''better than...'' this cd has to be listened at once, a homogenic little masterpiece...(the synties and the saxophone used in HATE YOU HATE ME are simply brilliant - the sax reminds me to some good old HAWKWIND days)
downtuned guitar riffs made to make your asses move and a straight drumming right to the point - shit, this is almost perfect......
a fuckin' cool production made the whole thing so much vital and catchy, real cool shit, ladies and gentlemen.
THIS RELEASE DEFINITELY ROCKS
i remember when i watched these two guy playing live as support of LUCKY FUNERAL:
smart as fuck, no respect, cool attitude, it was just as if they were doin' this since....ever.
enterin' the stage and blowing the house down - oh fuckin' YES.
if you like raw, unpolished and honest music, you have to get this cd, it's so much fun to listen to it again and again and again.....
the only crticism (no, not really): this cd is (too) short, approxymately 20 minutes, but: who fucking cares - better 20 exiting minutes that an hour of boredom....
go to their myspace-site where you can check out 3 songs and BUY THIS CD
you will love it
believe what the old man says, OBEY and support SODA - they fuckin' deserve it.
